M. Stein et al., INTRACARDIAC MASS AS THE INITIAL MANIFESTATION OF METASTATIC GERM-CELL TUMOR, International journal of cardiology, 45(3), 1994, pp. 230-232
Cardiac metastases as initial presentation of disseminated germ cell t
umors have rarely been reported. The hematogenous route is believed to
be the most common pattern of dissemination by germ cell tumour, main
ly to the lung, central nervous system and liver. We report a 33-year-
old patient with embryonal cell carcinoma who presented with an intraa
trial metastatic mass as the initial manifestation of metastatic disea
se.
