Abstract
The A (2) Pi<--X(2) Sigma(+) and B-2 Sigma<--X(2) Sigma(+) electronic transitions of SiC-, with origin bands at 3538 cm(-1) and 21 683 cm(-1 ), have been identified in 5 K neon matrices using mass-selected depos ition. Neutralization of the anions leads to the observation of two kn own systems of SiC, as well as of a new system, B-3 Sigma(+)<--X(3) Pi ,with origin at 11749 cm(-1).
