Abstract
A software tachistoscope for IBM-PC-compatible personal computers equi pped with Tseng-ET4000-based VGA boards is described. It is shown how up to four bit-mapped color images with a resolution of up to 800 x 60 0 pixels may be stored in video display memory and alternatingly be se lected for screen display in synchrony with the vertical retrace signa l of the video controller.
