SYNTHESIS OF SOME HYDROXYALKYL AND ALKYL ESTERS OF ACRYLIC AND METHACRYLIC ACIDS

There are presented conditions and parameters of synthesis of hydroxya lkyl methacrylates and acrylates from respective acids and oxyranes as well as reactions of obtained hydroxyalkyl esters with methacrylic ac id leading to the synthesis of alkyl dimethylacrylates. There are disc ussed results of studies on the synthesis of polymethacrylates from po lyalcohols. Described compounds belong to the group of monomers being applied to the production of water-soluble varnishes, urethanoesters a nd cross linking agents for polymers.
