A full analytical description of graviosmotic volume flows is presente
d. This was done with the use of theoretical models earlier developed
on the basis of interferometric studies of graviosmotic systems. The d
escription includes both stationary and non-stationary graviosmotic fl
ows induced with solutions whose density decreases as well as increase
s with increasing concentration. The obtained equations that describe
the fluxes may prove especially useful in studies on water transport i
n plants which occurs by graviosmotic mechanisms.
