Abstract
Samples of sea water, coastal sediment, marine algae and other organis ms have been collected from Syrian coastal region sampling locations c overing Latakia in the north, Tartous in the south and Baniyas in the middle. Samples were analyzed for Cs-137, Sr-90, Pu-239+240 and Po-210 by standard analytical procedures. This paper presents the results of these investigations and compares them with Mediterranean marine radi oactivity levels reported by others.
