Abstract
Nonmetallic inclusions in steel are mainly oxidic inclusions. sulphidi c inclusions and titanium (carbo)-nitride inclusions. The amount of no nmetallic inclusions is a measure of the degree of cleanliness of the steel. Macroscopic cleanliness. microscopic cleanliness. Effect of non metallic inclusions on material properties. Effect of macroinclusions and microscopic inclusions. Examples of the effect of inclusions on th e service properties of steel.
