Abstract
The Hall conductance is investigated in the field-induced spin density wave phases of the quasi-one-dimensional system. The role of the orde r parameters in the quantization of the Hall effect is shown in the fr amework of the topological number of the wave functions in the momentu m space. A possible mechanism of the sign changes of the Hall conducta nce observed in the experiments is proposed in this framework.
