Abstract
The mandibular joint of the cat is an incongruent cylindrical joint, w
hich works as a hinge or screw joint. The course of motion is unilater
al in the plane of the cutting edge of the molar/premolar border P4/M1
. The articular disc is a connective tissue membran; its new function
is decreasing the friction.
