SILICONE ANTIFOAMS FOR NONWOVEN APPLICATIONS

This paper presents an overview of the factors that influence foam con trol, including a basic introduction to the surface chemistry of foams and the mechanisms for effective foam control. By understanding the f undamental issues related to controlling foam, a basic list of antifoa m requirements can be developed. These requirements then will he expan ded to include various factors affecting the selection of a product an d the methods used to screen such products.
