Abstract
Wood particles from specimens treated with chromated copper arsenate ( CCA) and particles pretreated with chromic acid produced stronger wood -cement composites compared to untreated wood. Results from stick pull -out, compressive strength, and flexural toughness trials all indicate that chromium acts as an effective compatibility enhancing agent betw een wood and cement.
