Abstract
Substituted 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-c]pyrimido[5,4-c]cinnolines (6a-d) have been synthesised from the corresponding arylhydrazino(cyano)acetamide s (1a-d). The hydrazino derivatives (5a-d) prepared from 1a-d on reflu xing in triethylorthoformate undergo smooth cyclization to yield the e xpected 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-c]pyrimido[5,4-c]cinnolines (6a-d). The str ucture of all the compounds have been established on the basis of thei r elemental analysis and spectral data.
