Abstract
We discuss a hybrid strategy for implementing global combine operation s on distributed memory Multiple Instruction Multiple Data multicomput ers. A theoretical analysis is given and results from its implementati on on the Intel iPSC/860 are reported. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
