Although the importance of good management practice in dentistry has b een implied by many speakers and writers for many years, little has be en published to substantiate these ideas. The Management Research Init iative will provide evidence to support or disprove the idea that gene ral management theory and techniques may improve the quality of patien t care and practice profitability.
