Abstract
The Raman spectra of native lysozyme in aqueous solution and of lysozy me extracted by nitrobenzene have been obtained. The main- and side-ch ain conformation, relative change of intensities, and other properties of the lysozyme were studied. After nitrobenzene treatment, the vario us characteristic bands of the protein's main conformation appeared al most entirely at the original positions, indicating that there is no i nfluence on the secondary-structure analysis of the protein.
