Abstract
A new coherent technique for optical coding and decoding based on spre ad spectrum principles is described. PSK modulation format is employed along with delayed self-homodyne detection. This technique is describ ed theoretically and demonstrated experimentally. An optical fiber Cod e Division Multiple Access system employing the above spread spectrum technique is proposed.
