T. Biswas et al., SOME INVESTIGATIONS ON THE CURE BEHAVIOR OF CARBOXYLATED NITRILE RUBBER IN THE PRESENCE OF THIOPHOSPHORYL DISULFIDES, Kautschuk und Gummi, Kunststoffe, 47(7), 1994, pp. 508-512
The investigations have been carried out with eight different thiophos
phoryl disulfides in order to compare their activity as curing agents
for carboxylated nitrile rubber (XNBR). It is observed that all these
thiophosphoryl disulfides are capable of vulcanizing XNBR. However the
activity depends upon the nature of the alkyl/alkenyl/cycloalkyl subs
tituents Bis(dicyclohexyl)thiophosphoryl disulfide (DCHDIS) plays a si
gnificant role and is found to be the best curative.
