Abstract
Though FPGAs are a dominant implementation medium for digital circuits , they do not support asynchronous circuits. This is a significant pro blem because many aspects of glue logic and communication interfaces i nvolve asynchronous elements, or require the interconnection of synchr onous components operating under independent clocks. The authors descr ibe the Montage FPGA, which explicitly supports asynchronous circuit i mplementation, and its mapping software.
