Abstract
Upon the effect of high-voltage electric discharges in benzene, toluen e, and other aromatic liquids, carbonization occurs, and different PAH s and C60 are formed as intermediates. The distribution and time profi le of the PAHs depend on the initial substance and on the ''inert'' ga s (N2, Ar, CO2) applied.
