Abstract
Substrate and positional selectivity in the nitration reactions of ben zene and its derivatives (halobenzenes, toluene and o-xylene) by nitri c acid and acyl nitrates supported on zeolites H-Y and H-ZSM-11 were s tudied. The reaction mechanism and effects governing selectivity of th e process are discussed.
