Aa. Nash et Np. Sunilchandra, INTERACTIONS OF THE MURINE GAMMAHERPESVIRUS WITH THE IMMUNE-SYSTEM, Current opinion in immunology, 6(4), 1994, pp. 560-563
Our understanding of the host response to gammaherpesviruses comes lar
gely from studies on Epstein-Barr virus. A recent addition to this fam
ily is murine herpesvirus-68 which, like Epstein-Barr virus, establish
es a latent infection in B lymphocytes and is associated with lymphopr
oliferative disease. This virus provides a unique opportunity to explo
re the relationship between gammaherpesviruses and the immune system.
