The overview concerns the numerous non-infectious skin diseases which
were described in HIV-infected patients. These diseases can be divided
into various groups according to the following points of view: morpho
logical, e.g. as papulosquamous or follicular diseases, anatomical, e.
g. vascular, hair or nail diseases, or pathophysiological, e.g. vascul
itis. Finally, in a miscellaneous group, diseases are described whose
relation to the HIV infection is either more anecdotal or whose associ
ation can not yet be clarified due to the low number of cases describe
d to date.
