Abstract
Precise data for Th-228, Ra-228 and Ra-226 obtained by ultra-low-level gamma spectrometry show that the Ra-228/Ra-226 activity ratio in crus tacean carapaces is the same as in surrounding waters and that after c alcification, they do not behave as a closed system relative to seawat er.
