Abstract
For all the relevant transformed spaces, i.e. Fourier, Laplace and Fou rier-Laplace. we present exact solutions of a fractional diffusion equ ation, describing random transport on fractals. The potential importan ce of such spectral representations lies in their applications to inte rpreting experimental measurements of anomalous diffusion processes. I n contrast to the well known asymptotic results, the exact representat ions provide a much broader basis for comparison with data.
