Abstract
Most of the earlier results on load-deformation characterstics of shap e memory alloys were based on experiments with one parameter fixed, na mely the temperature. This paper presents the load-deformation behavio ur of a single phase polycrystalline Cu-Zn-Al shape memory alloy with simultaneous variation in temperature with a special experimental set up. Experiments were also carried out to show the behaviour of the all oy by varying the temperature under constant loads as well as constant strains.
