Abstract
An exact solution is derived for the problem of the penetration of a h elicoidal magnetic vortex into a current-carrying superconducting cyli nder in a magnetic field. The London approximation is used. The magnet ic field is assumed parallel to the axis of the cylinder. A current-fi eld diagram of the resistive state is constructed.
