Abstract
[2+2] Photocycloadditions between enone 2 and 2,3-dihydropyran derivat ives lead to a number of interesting intermediates 3a-e for taxoid syn thesis. Following this strategy the stereoselective synthesis of a bio logically active taxoid mimicking the polarity of the CD ring portion in taxol is reported.
