Abstract
CpFe(CO)I(eta1-Ph2PCH2P(O)Ph2) 2 was obtained in small yield from reac tion of [CpFe(CO)]2[mu-(Ph2P)2CH2] with diiodine in benzene, or prepar ed in 82% yield on treating CpFe(CO)I(eta1-Ph2PCH2PPh2) 1 with H2O2. C ompound 2 crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/n, with a = 8.441(2) a ngstrom, b = 10.054(2) angstrom, c = 33.343(8) angstrom, beta = 92.33( 2)-degrees, Z = 4, V = 2827(1) angstrom3, R(F) = 0.057, and R(W) = 0.0 56.
