Abstract
The title compound 1 reacts with urea, thiourea and cyanamide, yieldin g the corresponding 1,3,5-triazine-2-one 3a, -2-thione Sb and an N,N-d icyanobisaminal 4 derivative, respectively. An alternative mechanism f or this class of alpha-ureidoalkylations is proposed.
