Abstract
A method for measuring the sensitivity (gauge factor) of resistance st rain gauges is proposed. Strain measurements are made with the use of unbonded resistance strain gauges, thus excluding the effect of hyster esis and creep of the binder on the accuracy of determining the gauge factor. Silicon whiskers are practically undamaged in the test.
