Re. Blundell et Mtc. Fang, THE SIMILARITY AND SCALING OF RADIATING ARCS BURNING IN A TURBULENT, AXIALLY ACCELERATING GAS-FLOW, Journal of physics. D, Applied physics, 30(4), 1997, pp. 628-635
Similarity parameters and scaling laws are established for turbulent a
rcs in an axially accelerating gas flow. Turbulent energy and momentum
transport is modelled using the Prandtl mixing length model. Radiatio
n transport, including absorption, is accounted for using a specially
adapted semi-empirical model. The accuracy of the theory is assessed u
sing numerical solutions of an are burning in a supersonic nozzle.
