Abstract
We were able to observe a certain type of defects in the heavy fermion superconductor UPt3, using electron microscopy in the dark-field imag ing mode. We have identified this type of defects as discommensuration s since the high-resolution transmission electron microscope shows a t ranslational shift across the wall of these discommensurations.
