Abstract
Under conditions of simulated circulation failure in rats ajmaline inc reases tolerance for strophanthin cardiotoxicity to a greater extent t han trimecaine. In isolated preparations of frog myocardium both antia rrhythmic agents somewhat weaken the inotropic effect of the cardiac g lycoside and virtually do not influence its chronotropic effect.
