A. Insolia et al., NUCLEAR-DYNAMICS FOR HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS WITH A MOMENTUM-DEPENDENT POTENTIAL, Physics letters. Section B, 334(1-2), 1994, pp. 12-17
The Boltzmann-Nordheim-Vlasov equation has been solved by using a micr
oscopic momentum dependent (MD) nuclear mean field. This potential has
been calculated in the framework of the self consistent Brueckner the
ory up to the second order in the G-matrix. Comparison with the so cal
led soft and stiff Equation of State (EOS) is presented, using the Sky
rme force. The calculations have been performed for Ca-40 + Ca-40 and
Nb-93 + Nb-93 reactions, from the balance energy up to E(lab) = 800A M
eV. At variance with the MD phenomenological potentials, the results a
t higher energy show that our soft EOS with MD mean field gives predic
tions which do not differ very much from the soft EOS with Skyrme pote
ntial without momentum dependence. On the other hand, at lower energy
the MD potential has a behaviour which is quite different from both so
ft and stiff EOS, especially as far as the balance energy is concerned
