Vm. Agafonov et al., ELECTROKINETIC EFFECT IN CAPILLARY SYSTEMS WITH A NONUNIFORM SURFACE-CHARGE DENSITY, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 30(7), 1994, pp. 846-849
A study has been undertaken to see how a nonuniform surface charge dis
tribution affects the pattern of electrolyte flow in a flat capillary
greater than the Debye screening length thick in the presence of a con
stant pressure drop between its ends. It is shown that the corrections
applied to the kinetic coefficients take a minus sign and that for re
al system parameters they are 5 - 10% of the values calculated for cap
illaries with uniformly charged walls.
