Abstract
We have undertaken cytogenetic investigation of seven benign and malig nant lacrimal gland neoplasms. This study showed recurrent chromosomal abnormalities involving chromosomes 3, 8, 9, and 12. These features a re similar to those found in benign and malignant salivary gland tumor s, which suggests possible common mechanisms involved in the neoplasti c proliferation of these histologically related tumors.
