Abstract
States in neutron-deficient 110Te have been studied with the Ni-58+Ni- 58 reaction at 250 MeV. An unusual feature is that, above spin 8+, neg ative parity states become yrast. These states are interpreted in term s of a nu[h11/2xd5/2) Structure (DELTAl = DELTAj = 3). For spins above 15-, strong (E1) dipoles are seen linking another band into the negat ive-parity states. This is taken as evidence for octupole correlations in 110Te at high spin.
