K. Hauschild et al., DEFORMED ROTATIONAL BANDS IN THE DOUBLY ODD NUCLEI PR-134 AND PR-132, Physical review. C. Nuclear physics, 50(2), 1994, pp. 707-715
The nuclei Pr-32,Pr-134 have been investigated using the Mo-100(Cl-37,
xn) reactions at a beam energy of 155 MeV. Gamma rays were detected wi
th the Eurogam array. Analysis of the data has revealed the presence o
f two new weakly populated decoupled bands in Pr-135. One of these ban
ds has been linked into the normal-deformed states and is thought to b
e built on a pi(h11/2)3 x nu(f7/2,h9/2) configuration. The second band
has been interpreted as being based on a pi(h11/2)3 x nui13/2 intrude
r configuration within the second beta2 congruent-to 0.3 prolate minim
um. The known decoupled band in 132Pr (5n reaction channel) and the hi
ghly deformed band in 130La (alpha3n) have also been extended. The str
ucture of all of these bands is discussed together with similar bands
in neighboring odd-odd nuclei.
