N. Arena et al., COMPLETE AND INCOMPLETE FUSION IN THE SI-28-12, C-13 REACTIONS AROUND5 MEV NUCLEON(C), Physical review. C. Nuclear physics, 50(2), 1994, pp. 880-890
Velocity spectra, angular, and mass distributions of the evaporation r
esidues produced in the reaction Si-28+C-12 at E(Si-28) = 104, 115, an
d 154 MeV have been measured in the angular range 2.5-degrees less-tha
n-or-equal-to curly theta(L) less-than-or-equal-to 14-degrees. The res
ults show for all the studied bombarding energies the presence of smal
l contributions of incomplete fusion reactions. These small incomplete
fusion components present in the evaporation-residue cross sections a
ppear to be due to a cluster transfer reaction mechanism. Similar resu
lts have been obtained bombarding a C-13 target. The obtained results
are compared with earlier measurements and the predictions of some exi
sting models.
