Abstract
Nosocomial infections are frequent and troublesome in bone marrow and other transplant recipients. Of the established pathogens, Aspergillus continues to pose the greatest challenge during bone marrow transplan tation while multiply-antibiotic-resistant enterococci have recently e merged as important pathogens in renal patients. Infection control pol icies and practices need to be adapted to deal with these new challeng es.
