Ns. Tataurshchikova et al., USING THE METHOD OF EVOKED SHORT-LATENCY BRAIN-STEM POTENTIALS IN ASTHMATIC-PATIENTS WITH HYPERVENTILATION SYNDROME, Bulletin of experimental biology and medicine, 117(2), 1994, pp. 137-138
The method of evoked short-latency brainstem potentials in a group of
patients with bronchial asthma attended by hyperventilation syndrome d
emonstrates disturbances of the functional activity of the brainstem s
tructures, this attesting to dysfunction of the mesencephalic and cere
bropontine zones. No changes are observed in a group of patients witho
ut hyperventilation syndrome.
