The device is a centrally oriented rotary magnetic disk producing a ce
rtain clearance between the rotary part and the collagen-coated bottom
of a standard multiwell plate. Regulation of the speed of rotation ma
kes it possible to reproduce the high shear rates characteristic for l
arge elastic arteries.
