Abstract
A phytotoxic cyclotetrapeptide containing an unusual amino acid, 2-ami no-8-oxo-9-hydroxydecanoic acid, was isolated from the fungus Verticil lium coccosporum. Structurally, the peptide is closely related to the known peptide chlamydocin.
