Abstract
Aldol reactions of the sodium enolates of alpha-(N,N-dibenzylamino) et hyl ketones proceed in a highly diastereoselective fashion and result in the formation of the all syn adduct. The observed stereoselectiviti es are most easily understood in the context of an open transition sta te.
