Abstract
The Porcupine Plate, postulated in 1986 to explain difficulties in rec onstructing anomalies 21 and 24 in the North Atlantic, is re-examined. Focusing sharply on the spreading segments nearest to Charlie-Gibbs F racture Zone casts doubt on the Porcupine Plate hypothesis.
