Abstract
Various stable substituted benzylic zincs are formed in acetonitrile u pon reaction of the bromide derivatives, in good yields, using a catal ytic electrogenerated zinc species associated with massive zinc. In th e presence of chloronimethylsilane, these organozincs react instantane ously with functionalized aromatic aldehydes.
