Heat capacity of atomic-ordered Fe25Pd75-xAux alloys with x s 37.5 at.
% is investigated in the temperature range 3 K < T < 30 K. The tempera
ture and concentration dependences of low temperature heat capacity in
the region of phase transition from ferromagnetic (x < 5 at.%) to ant
iferromagnetic (x greater-than-or-equal-to 25 at.%) state are discusse
d. The anomalous behaviour of C(p)(T) at T approximately 7 K discovere
d in the transition region of concentrations is supposed to be connect
ed with the lattice contribution to the heat capacity, with the possib
ility or thermoelastic martensite transformation in the alloys which i
s accompanied by the appearance of structural distortions.
