Abstract
This article documents the systematic planning and implementation of a comprehensive project of serials records creation and enhancement on NOTIS undertaken by Queens College Library of the City University of N ew York. Special emphasis is placed upon project design and the utiliz ation of programmed function keys to expedite labor-intensive data inp ut tasks and to achieve maximum accuracy. Examples of the use of progr ammed function keys in the four phases of this project are provided. S pecific decisions and underlying rational are discussed.
