H. Desvaux et M. Goldman, A NEW NMR METHOD FOR MEASURING THE LOCAL CORRELATION TIMES OF MOLECULES IN THE LIQUID-STATE, Journal de chimie physique et de physico-chimie biologique, 91(6), 1994, pp. 653-659
The steady-state magnetizations of homonuclear spins experiencing a st
rong off-resonance irradiation are aligned with the effective field. T
heir amplitude is a function of the correlation time and of the angle
between the static field and the effective field in the rotating frame
. By varying the latter, one can determine the effective local correla
tion time or test large departure from isotropic Brownian rotation. Ex
perimental illustrations are given.
