A. Aboukais et al., EPR CHARACTERIZATION OF CR3-ANATASE AS MATRIX( AND CR5+ IONS IN TIO2), Journal de chimie physique et de physico-chimie biologique, 91(6), 1994, pp. 748-752
Similar to commercial anatase samples, a well-resolved EPR spectrum ha
s been observed in anatase-TiO2 prepared by Rhone-Poulenc. Using the X
and Q-band microwave frequencies, it has been demonstrated that the s
pectrum is formed by two signals. One, constituted by a fine structure
, has been attributed to Cr3+ ions and the other to Cr5+. It seems tha
t these species are responsible for the spectrum when they are simulta
neously present in anatase.
